Migraine Symptoms and Aura
Migraine headaches may or may not be characterized by an ‘aura’ or a set of symptoms that accompany the onset of a migraine episode. It occurs in about 20% of the migraine sufferers.
Some people have reported seeing flashing lights, feeling tired and dizzy, vision blurring etc. People suffering from ocular migraine are also known to suffer from ‘blind spot’, which can blur or disable the vision temporarily.
Migraine auras are not easy to handle, but on the brighter side, it gives a warning that a migraine attack is to follow and can better prepare a person to handle the attack. The pain usually lasts between a few hours to days.
Migraine Headaches can be of two types:
1) Classical Migraine (Accompanied by a migraine aura)
2) Common Migraine (No migraine aura)
Other Symptoms of migraine include watery eyes, diarrhea (or constipation) and sometimes even behavioral changes.
If the attacks seem to be frequent and seem to last a long time, it would be recommended to consult a doctor.
